Training, supervision and psychometrics
Samrah heads training and clinical supervision at PHC. That is the structure under which newer clinicians at the practice build their hours: a more senior psychologist reviews cases with them, and somebody is accountable for how that is done. It is also the work behind the internship and training programme PHC runs.
Her clinical specialisation is anxiety and trauma in children and young adults, and she works as a trauma-informed therapist — her own term, meaning the approach is built around how trauma affects a person rather than treating it as one symptom among others.
She is also a psychometrician, with a specialisation in psychometric assessment for children and adults. Psychometric assessment is the measured, standardised part of a psychological assessment: structured tests, scored and interpreted against norms, rather than a clinical impression. At PHC that work feeds a written report and a feedback session.
Her credentials state 750+ clinical hours. That is her own figure and it is published as she gave it.

Sessions are 50 minutes, in clinic in Karachi or online. Which clinic and which times are confirmed when you book — psychologists are matched on speciality and presenting needs, not on who happens to be free.
You can ask for Samrah by name when you send your details, and we will tell you plainly whether there is a slot and who else fits if there is not. Booking at PHC starts as an enquiry rather than a confirmed appointment: we come back to you by phone or on WhatsApp with a psychologist, a time and a fee, and nothing is charged until you have agreed to all three.
Everything on this page is general information about a member of our clinical team. It is not a diagnosis, not treatment, and reading it does not create a clinician–client relationship.
Speaking to someone starts here
PHC is appointment-only. Message or call and a real person answers — Monday to Saturday, 10am to 8pm PKT.
Not sure whether this is us? Contact us anyway. We will tell you directly whether we can help, and refer you elsewhere if we cannot.
Six details, and we can match you
- Name of the person who will attend
- Their age
- What is going on, in your own words
- Whether you would prefer a male or female psychologist
- Online, or in clinic in Karachi
- Whether the person attending is a minor or elderly
If someone else is paying, we will also ask for guardian or payer details. How an appointment is booked, and the terms that apply to it, are set out on the booking page.
